Dear Alumni,

The elders of West Coast Christian Fellowship, on behalf of the congregation, invite you to participate with us in a venture to continue the strong witness of Jesus Christ in East Vancouver. We are looking for your financial and prayer support to rejuvenate our buildings at East Georgia.

For many, many years the church building on the corner of East Georgia and Windermere has been the home-base for St. Margaret’s Church and now West Coast Christian Fellowship. The current congregation is strong and active beyond the location through our involvement in education. We operate a School with about 180 students (, and we just newly added a pre-school and out-of-school-care center (

Our church building and the office building next door have been and continue to be a great blessing to many, and we have seen God’s faithfulness on the congregation throughout the years. We feel a strong calling to continue the work in this location with an aim to increasingly reach the neighbours with the Good News. In order to do that, we need to renovate our buildings. Our multi-phase plan includes renovating the basement of the church building, then the office building, the landscaping around the buildings, and eventually the sanctuary as well.

The basement renovation is underway. A progress report with pictures can be found on our website ( We are excited about the expanded possibilities for ministry the renovated space will give us.
As a congregation, we have decided to not use debt financing for this phase. By the generous and sacrificial giving of many we have been able to raise $610,000 of the budgeted $810,000. We rejoice over God's rich provision so far, and yet we still need another $200,000 to complete the work.
This is where you come in. We would like to invite you to prayerfully consider making a tax-deductible contribution in support of this renovation. Cheques can be made payable to “West Coast Christian Fellowship” with the note: “Renovations” added. Alternatively, you can donate by using our online facility on our website ( Tax receipts will be issued in February.
Also, please pass this request on to others in your network that may have a historic or current connection with the little church building on East Georgia and Windermere.

Upon completion of this first renovation phase, we plan to have a Big Party to which we want to invite all donors and prayer supporters to - we hope to see many of you in the Spring!
Thank you for your support,
